The Gunwerks LR-1000 Shooting System has created a new definition of performance for custom rifle builders. The LR-1000 is designed and configured to be the most shootable long range hunting rifle made with an indestructible finish and components to handle the rugged demands of extended field use.

The LR-1000 comes coupled with the proprietary G7 5.5-22X50 riflescope (built by Nightforce Optics) to provide the ultimate in repeatable first-shot accuracy. The G7 scope is designed, manufactured and tested to maintain point of impact under all conditions—even side impacts.

The LR action series is precisely machined on CNC equipment from heat treated, ordinance grade barrel steel. Bolts are machined from a single billet of stainless steel, then coated with an extremely hard, high performance coating called Armaloy to prevent galling. Even the scope rings are pinned to eliminate any possibility of point of impact shift. Barrels are heat stress relieved three times in the manufacturing process. They feature a 5C or canted land configuration. The stainless steel is hand lapped to a bore variation tolerance of 0.0001 of an inch. Chamber work and barrel threading is completed on a very expensive, very precise Haas TL2 CNC lathe. Fit and finish is unmatched by “gunsmith” workbench lathes.

The Gunwerks LR stock has molded color and texture built into the stock—it cannot wear off and will look as-new after a lifetime of service. The NIC Industries, Cerakote finish is the industry standard for durability and good looks, all metal parts use this coating to prevent corrosion, simplify cleaning, and minimize lubrication requirements.

The Gunwerks LR-1000 comes completely set up, barrel break-in is completed at the factory as is accuracy testing, scope mounting, ballistic profiling and calibration of a custom ballistic turret. The system is designed to provide first shot accuracy right out of the box. This rifle is all its been hyped up to be and more. I perchased this rifle after doing alot of research of long range rifles and after shooting it I am confident I made a good buy. The first outing with the rifle we set up at 530 yards. 10 out of 10 shots were hits. One from a girl who had never shot a high powered rifle. We then backed up to 850. 4 out of 6 shots where hits. Wind was playing more of a factor there but we held 2 mins of wind and bulls eye. I would highly recommend this rifle to any person looking for a ready to shoot long range rifle.
